Artist's Statement:

Writing is only ever an approximation of x (space), y (time), and z (body). And the relationship between writer and work and reader and work and reader and writer Δ allows for a spatio-temporal embodiment that is not the same as whatever [the thing itself] is–something related to and felt because of the writing (which comes from and influences thinking). Just as there exists a tether between mother and child, there, too exists a tether between [the thing itself] and [the representation of the thing itself]. But and also, as [the thing itself] is only fully experienced in its form (not through representations), it feels natural that every representation does not seek full legibility (as that would be a failed endeavor, for me at least). The tether becomes its own thing. The tether is what we feel when we write and read. It is a connection. It expands and collapses who is the reader and who is the writer…

I yearn for connection. I want people to feel. I want to be seen, I want what I see to be seen and interpreted through whatever lenses readers wear. Writing and play (as embodied experiences) help me reconcile trauma, as trauma is stored in the body (which my dear friend Rosie showed me). I am fascinated by the transcription of play into writing; through structure or lack thereof, rhythm, word choice, human error, (re)iteration, and illustration. Everything is collage.

I hope to awaken community and understanding around trauma, love, and sensuality–their seeping into other dynamics and into each other. The nature of life is change, and there are many physical constants… it is a dialectic that hearkens on The Grey.

I am both the same and a different person as I was at three or twenty or will be at sixty. I am influenced by my Past Self, and my Past Self may have been influenced by Now Me. No need to pretend that I am(/will) not (be) a Big Baby.

Any work is available for purchase, priced at $1,000,000
